I bought this cool painting today:
Not a Drop by Janice Kalien
Encountered yesterday during Art-a-Whirl.
The work spoke to me: it said, “buy me”. I laughed, and immediately recognized that I wanted to buy it.
So I did — went back today and bought it. Made a show out of the purchase — joking about other bidders, talking up the work, having fun with the artist and her friends.
It’s a splendid painting, I’m delighted to own it.
