Pak Files

Files with the .pak extension are containers (like .zip files) for game resources: sounds, sprites, models, etc.

Mods typically include new Pak files.

You can edit Pak files using tools like PakScape and PakEdit (see Downloads). These editors allow you to:

Browse the contents of Pak files

Export the contents as individual files (.wav, mdl, etc.)

Import new or modified files into the Pak.
