  • Creating a remote-trigger Monster_Turret -
    * create a monster_turret (*not* monster_miniturret)
    * place it so the center of the little box (the X) is on the surface of the floor or ceiling. You may want to shift it up or down a little, sometimes it looks weird like the gun is actually coming out of solid concrete.
    * Set the Monster_Turret 'Starts Inactive' property.
    * Give the Monster_Turret a name (say, turret1)
    * Have the floor tile's target set to the name (turret1).
    * The turret will drop down and automatically shoot at the player.
    * There's no need to worry about the angle, either, because the gun automatically rotates to face the right direction.
