Xen Jump Pads

Step on them, they pucker up with a whooshing sound, and you rise into the air ....

They're made something like this:

A pucker-shaped set of brushes, with pad texture.

A trigger_multiple over the pucker, targeting several entities (using multi_manager and/or trigger_relay) --

  • trigger_push for upward motion
  • ambient_generic for whooshing sound
  • func_door for the pucker pop-up. This nub-shaped entity is concealed under the pucker. It represents the pucker in the "outie" position, rising up to nudge the player. (The nudge is important: trigger_push doesn't actually exert upwards push until the player makes some initial upwards motion.)
