C++ Compilers

Microsoft Visual C++

Valve uses Microsoft Visual C++ (MS-VCC). It's fully supported by the Half-Life SDK. However, MS-VCC is expensive.

Borland C++

You can also use the free Borland command-line compiler, although it requires setup to make it work with the HL-SDK.

Dev-C++

Free C++ compiler @ http://www.bloodnet.com
I don't know anything about this compiler except that it's free and that it requires setup for use with the Half-Life SDK.

Got Info?

If you've got more information about compilers -- in particular, how to set up the free compilers for use with the Half-Life SDK -- please contact me with the details.
